Dahisar: A video of Shiv Sena MLA Prakash Surve (of the Shinde faction) and party spokeswoman Sheetal Mhatre sharing a passionate kiss during an Ashirvad Yatra in Maharashtra’s Dahisar has gone viral. Surve’s family claimed that the video was altered and purposefully shared to discredit the leader as it gained popularity on social media.

A case was opened at the Dahisar police station under IPC sections 354,509,500,34 and 67 Act after the video went viral on Saturday night. Manas Kuwar, 26, and Ashok Mishra, 45, two of the accused, have both been taken into custody in connection with the case.

During the rally, an obscene video of Sheetal Mhatre driving a Jeep went viral. According to Sheetal Mhatre, executives from the Yuva Sena and Thackeray Group allegedly edited the video and contributed to its success. The case was opened after Sheetal Mhatre reported the incident to the Dahisar police precinct early on Sunday.
