Google recently stated that it will add "Environment Causing" to Android lock screens, which would make your phone's lock screen a smart display showing relevant and intriguing information.
Two Lenovo tablets and two Nokia phones are likely to have this capability as of this writing, although it may be some time before many Android phones have it.
Switch On Notifications While Locked
Your first task is to decide whether or not you want the lock screen to display any new information. The following instructions apply whether you decide to enable or disable notices:
- You can get to your device's configuration menu by swiping down from the top and tapping the gear icon.
- Going into "Settings and or Notifications" > "Home button" From the settings menu, choose "Lock screen notifications" to show or hide both alerts.
- You may decide whether or not to show "Sensitive alerts" on your lock screen by enabling or disabling this feature.
- If it's disabled, you will not see the notification itself, only the device it came from, so if you have "1 new message" on your phone but your computer doesn't, you'll only see "1 message" and not the message.
Choose whether to show or hide mobile applications on the home screen.
Only those apps that you have authorized to display on your lock screen will be able to give you messages. Pick any of them; they are all fair game.
- Access your device's configuration menu.
- Apps & Alerts-> Notifications.
- Some of the most recent applications to receive alerts will be displayed, and you can view the full list by clicking "See all from the last 7 days" at the bottom of the screen.
- Put your money in the hole to the right of the device.
Even if you give the screen lock permission to see your search results, Google says it will still provide a little vocal feedback.
Payments, Google Photos, app permission inquiries, and identity-related queries all fall under this category. This is how you can manage notifications on your iPhone lock screen.
